Rising Light is designated as a BRS Intensive Behavior Support program serving eight high-risk, high-acuity girls between the ages of 13 and 17 with a focus on trauma-informed care, empowerment, self-care, and healing from all forms of exploitation.
The River Rock Program is designed around an evidence- based cognitive-behavioral restructuring model, a model proven highly effective in addressing youth behavioral issues. This model educates youth of the connection between their thoughts, attitudes, and emotions to their behaviors; to identify “thinking barriers” and substitute responsible thinking, and to increase pro-social thinking and skills through modeling and role-play practices.
