Recycling

During the hot summer months, we are asking residents to please use caution, and help to properly dispose of flammable, combustible, and hot waste materials. Review our Help Us Prevent Landfill Fires guide (JPG) and please obey all posted signs, warnings, and solid waste worker recommendations.

Yard Waste Disposal

Yard waste is the vegetative material resulting from mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, or raking leaves. The County processes this material into a nutrient-rich mulch which is available for free pick up (loading fee of $15 applies if you do not self-load) by Douglas County residents. Yard Waste accepted at all Douglas County Solid Waste facilities.
