Special Events
Looking for a place to hold your special event? Douglas County Parks offers many beautiful settings for your special event. We have hosted weddings, birthdays, celebrations of life and large-scale events in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Contact the Douglas County Parks Department at 541.957.7001 to book your event. You can also fill out our "Special Event Application" and send to parks@douglascountyor.gov. There is no guarantee the date you submit will be available.

Disc Golf at Whistler's Bend
We offer a 27-hole disc golf course with free use to the public. Our new state of the art baskets were installed Spring 2022!

OHV Riding at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area (ODNRA)
Winchester Bay sand dunes are part of the Siuslaw National Forest and are the middle section of the ODNRA. Reaching over 500ft tall, they are the tallest dunes in Oregon and offer a riding experience for riders of all ages and experience.
Our Dan Van Slyke Staging Area offers free day parking for enthusiasts.
